In high school softball, fifth-ranked East Marshall picked up a 7-2 win over Columbus Catholic. Grundy Center defeated AGWSR 10-3, while Dunkerton edged BCLUW 5-4.
Rockford topped Colo-NESCO 14-3, Riceville beat Colo-NESCO 19-9. Twelfth-ranked Collins-Maxwell stayed hot with a pair of victories, defeating Rockford 17-4 and Riceville 11-1.
Janesville earned a 4-2 win over GMG. Dike-New Hartford- Aplington-Parkersburg outlasted Denver 4-2 in 13 innings, and Madrid shut out South Hardin 10-0.
Several softball games were postponed, including West Marshall and PCM, which has been rescheduled for June 23rd. Solon at South Tama and Marshalltown at Ottumwa were also postponed.
In high school baseball, BCLUW slipped past Dunkerton 7-6. Riceville defeated Colo-NESCO 8-6, while Colo-NESCO bounced back with an 11-1 victory over Rockford.
Aplington-Parkersburg rolled past Gladbrook-Reinbeck 11-1, Janesville defeated GMG 15-1, and West Marshall knocked off PCM 10-7.
One of the night’s biggest upsets came when AGWSR handed Class 2A third-ranked Grundy Center a 6-5 loss. Columbus Catholic beat East Marshall 7-1.
Collins-Maxwell defeated Riceville 12-4, while Rockford edged Collins-Maxwell 6-5. Dike-New Hartford nipped Denver 2-1 in eight innings.
Marshalltown’s baseball game at Ottumwa was postponed because of weather.

South Hardin hosts Sumner-Fredericksburg in a game that can be watched live at KDAO.com. Marshalltown travels to Mason City, Nevada visits South Hamilton, North Tama heads to Don Bosco, East Marshall welcomes Denver, and AGWSR takes on Hudson.
Other games on the baseball schedule include West Marshall at Pella Christian, Columbus Catholic at Gladbrook-Reinbeck in a 2 p.m. first pitch, and Aplington-Parkersburg on the road against Class 2A third-ranked Grundy Center.
