REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL SOFTBALL RESULTS
Class 2A No. 14 West Marshall defeated Belmond-Klemme, 6-4, to advance to the regional semifinals. East Marshall rolled past West Fork, 13-5 in six innings, while Grundy Center earned a 10-3 win over Denver. Martensdale-St. Marys eliminated BCLUW, 6-1.
In Class 1A, Collins-Maxwell topped North Mahaska, 9-5, Ankeny Christian defeated North Tama, 10-3, and Class 2A No. 2 Grand View Christian blanked South Hamilton, 10-0. Wapsie Valley knocked off Hudson, 4-2, Columbus Catholic defeated Jesup, 10-3, North Butler edged Riceville, 4-2, Clarksville beat Montezuma, 3-1, and Woodward-Granger shut out Panorama, 8-0.
AGWSR’s regional quarterfinal at St. Edmond was postponed and has been rescheduled for Thursday night at 6 p.m.

TONIGHT ON THE LOCAL SPORTS SCENE
Regional softball action continues tonight with several area teams in action.
Marshalltown hosts Des Moines East at 7 p.m. in a Class 5A regional opener.
In Class 1A, AGWSR travels to No. 3 St. Edmond for a 6 p.m. first-round matchup.
Class 3A regional play features South Tama at Williamsburg at 7 p.m., Iowa Falls-Alden at Roland-Story at 7 p.m., and Vinton-Shellsburg at Dike-New Hartford at 7 p.m.
