#10 Virginia 83 #2 Iowa 75- Virginia Becomes The First Double Digit Seed To Reach The Sweet 16 Upsetting Iowa In Double Overtime. Iowa Went Just 8 Of 16 From The Free Throw Line Including Chit Chat Wright Going Just 2 For 4 With 21 Seconds Remaining In Overtime After A Flagrant Foul. Virginia Then Tied The Game. Iowa Almost Won It In Overtime On A 3 But It Went Down And Popped Back Out. Second Overtime Iowa Was Outscored 18 To 10 To Lose 83 To 75 In Double Overtime.

Mcc Men’s Basketball Players Earned All Region Honors.

Trey’von Coney And Hassan Bush Received All Region Second Team, Tom Guma And Tristan Christopher Honorable Mention.

Mcc Women’s Basketball Postseason Honors.

Kenijae Cherry Won The Defensive Player Of The Year In The Iccac Leading The Conference With 84 Blocks. Cherry Was Selected To The All Region 3rd Team. Shenell Stewart Was Also Named To The All Region 3rd Team.
