Five Marshalltown Bobcat underclassmen earned recognition on the Iowa Alliance North All-Conference baseball team following a vote of the league’s coaches.
Sophomores Aiden Holmgren and Garrett Thede headlined the Bobcats’ honorees, both earning unanimous second-team selections in their first all-conference appearances. Holmgren was recognized at first base, while Thede was selected as an infielder.
Three Bobcat freshmen also received honorable mention honors. Outfielder Jalen Logsdon, infielder Madden Martin and utility player Larrs Schoenfelder were all recognized for their strong debut seasons.
Marshalltown’s youth stood out across the conference. Holmgren and Thede were the only sophomores named to the first or second teams, while the Bobcats also accounted for three of the conference’s four freshmen who earned honorable mention recognition.
Eight West Marshall Softball Players Earn HOIAC All-Conference Honors
The West Marshall softball team was well represented on the Heart of Iowa Athletic Conference (HOIAC) All-Conference teams, with eight players earning recognition for their performances this season.
Leading the way were Rachel Randall and Cailyn Brown, who were both selected to the First Team All-Conference.
Named to the Second Team were Aubree Greenwood, Riley Randall, Jenna Randall, and Hattie McCollom.
Rounding out the honors, Ashtyn Blood and Olivia Randall were recognized as Honorable Mention All-Conference selections.
The eight all-conference honorees reflect another strong season for the Trojans and highlight the depth of talent throughout the West Marshall softball program.
