Marshalltown Sports Roundup April 19th, 2016
The Marshalltown Girls Soccer team beat DSM East 1 to 0 in Overtime. Ruth Boland scored the game winning goal on an assist from Mckenna Major with just 1:01 to go in OT.
The Marshalltown Boys Soccer team lost to Newton on Penalty kicks. The Game was tied at zero at the end of the overtime period. Newton converted 3 penalty kicks to just one for Marshalltown to win the game 1 to 0.
The Marshalltown Girls Track team took 6th place at a meet in Cedar Falls. Malory Henze placed 2nd in the discus with a throw of 102 feet 8 inches. Regan Mazour took 2nd in the high jump clearing 5 feet, and Gabby Hernandez placed 4th in the shot put.
The Marshalltown Boys Track team took 8th at a meet in Ankeny. Maddux Richardson placed 4th in the discus with a throw of 127 feet 2 inches and 3rd in the shot put. Sam Arneson took 7th in the 400 meter hurdles.
The Marshalltown Girls Golf team beat Fort Dodge on the road 201-273. Kassy Vest was the meet Medalist with a 44 and Emily Hass finished runner up with a 48.
The Marshalltown Boys Tennis team beat Fort Dodge 7 to 4. Marshalltown is on the bottom Fort Dodge on top.
