High School Track

Marshalltown teams competed in the Jim Duncan Relays at Drake Stadium on Saturday. Girls results Shailynne Sadie 5^th 200, Grace Christensen 4^th 100, Leah Graves 21^st, 4 by 2 11^th. Boys results Carter Nunn 7^th 3200, Aiden Smitherman 11^th 400 Hurdles, Jaxon Hinkle 9^th Shot, 4 by 4 15^th.

The Eastern Iowa Track Festival was held in Iowa City. Grundy Center boys had some guys compete. Emerson Vokes 1^st 1600, 800 Sprint Medley 1^st, Brayden Davie 4^th 400, Judd Jirovsky 5^th 400, 4 by 100 Relay 6^th Pete Lebo 15^th 110 Hurdles.

South Hardin Boys Peyton Welch 11^th Long Jump, Distance Medley 10^th, 4 by 400 Relay 11^th, Sam Benson 13^th Discus, Casey Williamson 14^th 100.

South Tama Boys and Girls competed. Boys Cadel Conner 2^nd 1600, Barret Jesina 13^th 3200. Girls Scout Ridout 6^th 200, 8^th 100 Hurdles,

High School Girls Golf

Grundy Center took 3^rd in the Benton Invite shooting a 397. Benton 1^st 334, Solon 2^nd 373. Reagan Pekarek led Grundy Center taking 4^th place with a 89.

Junior College Baseball

MCC 37 Northeast Iowa CC 2

MCC scored at least 7 runs in the 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and 5^th Innings. The Tigers hit 4 Home Runs Jack Riley and Matthew Marceau hit 3 run homers. Ty Harmsen a 2 Run Shot and TJ Cook a Solo Homer. Brady Baker led MCC with 6 Runs batted in. On the mound Chase Bauer picked up his 3^rd win of the season pitching all 7 innings allowing 9 Hits 2 Runs with 10 Strikeouts.

Today on the local sports scene in Golf the Marshalltown Girls will open the season with a quad at the Legion with Fort Dodge, Norwalk and Newton. Grundy Center hosts Gladbrook Reinbeck and South Hardin, West Marshall hosts Colo-Nesco and Grandview Christian, AGWSR hosts East Marshall and Central Springs, Dunkerton hosts Don Bosco and BCLUW.

Track- MHS Boys at Fort Dodge, East Marshall Boys Relays are today with GR, BCLUW, AGWSR and AP among the teams. Colo-Nesco, GMG, South Hardin at Baxter Coed, West Marshall Girls in the Van Meter Relays.

Soccer- 1A#15 A-P Girls at Vinton Shellsburg, A-P/DNH United Boys host Waverly Shell Rock,Iowa Falls Alden Girls at Garner Hayfield Ventura, Boys Host Garner Hayfield Ventura.

Junior College Baseball- MCC hosts Northeast Iowa CC for a double header at 1 PM. Ellsworth hosts Iowa Lakes for a double header at 1 PM.

Junior College Softball- MCC at Southwestern for a DH at 1 PM, Ellworth hosts Iowa Lakes for a DH at Noon.
