Colo-Nesco Fr. Runner Elizabeth Erickson. The Girls State Track Meet begins on Thursday. Colo-Nesco Freshman Elizabeth Erickson is competing in the 800 and 3000. Erickson said she’s especially excited about the 3000 because that’s a new event for her.
BCLUW Baseball Matt Zoske. The BCLUW Baseball team will open the year at Gladbrook Reinbeck tonight. Coach Zoske said he’s looking forward to seeing his players in different positions.
East Marshall Baseball Justin Frost. The East Marshall Baseball team will open the year at Eddyville Blakesburg Freemont Thursday then host Roland Story Friday. Coach Frost is excited about the experience his team has.
Grundy Center Boys Golf Dennis Dirks. The Grundy Center Boys Golf team will play in the 2A State Meet at Coldwater in Ames Monday and Tuesday. The Spartans are the defending champions. Grundy Center first went to state in 1994 and Coach Dirks said it never gets old.
