State Wrestling Results

3A: Marshalltown Xayvion Anderson advanced to the semifinals with a win by injury forfeit. Anderson faces Ethan Bibler Waverly Shell Rock today. Johan Gomez and Nicholas Cross lost in the Quarterfinals. Colby Cross lost his consolation match.

2A: EM-GMG-Meskwaki Jordan Meling and Drew Wheater lost in the consolation round.

West Marshall Urijah Courter and Shane Hanford advanced to the semifinals with quarterfinal wins. Jon Gonzales lost in the quarterfinals. Kinnick Geers and Jack Decker ended their seasons with losses in consolations.

Storm Bo Towne lost his consolation match to end the season.

West Marshall Boys Basketball Kory Hobbs. The West Marshall Boys Basketball team beat Pleasantville 48 to 43 in the District semifinals last night. West Marshall will now play #2 Kuemper Catholic in the District Finals at Greene County High School. Coach Hobbs talked about what they changed in the second half.

West Marshall SR. Forward Lucas Barnes. Barnes had 18 points to help West Marshall get the win. West Marshall trailed by 4 at halftime. Barnes said the senior got together at halftime and said we aren’t losing this game.

South Hardin Girls Basketball Nick Eller. The South Hardin Girls Basketball team will play at Pocahontas Area tonight in the Regional Semifinals. Coach Eller said it’s exciting for the girls to be in this position.

GR JR. Forward Kennedy Brant. The Gladbrook Reinbeck Girls Basketball team will play Baxter in the Regional Semifinals tonight. JR. Kennedy Brant said it’s fun to play a new opponent.
