    Substate Semifinal Boys Basketball

    MHS Boys Basketball Michael Appel. The Marshalltown Boys Basketball team will play at 4A#2 Linn Mar tonight in a Substate semifinal. Coach Appel said Linn-Mar will be a handful to defend.

    Grundy Center Boys Basketball Brent Thoren. The Grundy Center Boys Basketball team will play Northeast at 6 PM in the Substate Finals at Wartburg College with a trip to State on the line. Coach Thoren said the Rebels have some very good 3-point shooters.

    GR Boys Basketball Brett Bengen. The Gladbrook Reinbeck Boys Basketball team will play North Mahaska with a trip to State on the Line Saturday at the Roundhouse. Coach Bengen said the experience his team has in Substate games gives them a slight edge.
