JUNIOR COLLEGE SOFTBALL

SATURDAY

#24 IOWA WESTERN 10 MCC 1 F/6, IOWA WESTERN 5 MCC 1

ECC 9 IOWA LAKES 6- Panthers stayed alive winning the first elimination game.

NIACC 6 ELLSWORTH 2- The Panthers were eliminated finishing at 23-38.

SUNDAY The Tigers needed to at least split with Southwestern to make the Region 11 Conference Tournament.

MCC 6 SOUTHWESTERN 5- Game 1 MCC trailed 5 to 3 entering the bottom of the 7^th inning. Shalei Morn came up with 2 outs and hit a single off the pitchers glove to keep MCC alive. Morgan Williams then drove an RBI Double off the wall in right center to pull MCC within 4-3. The next batter Meadow Shackleford launched a walk-off 2 run homer to Left on the first pitch to give MCC a 6-5 Win.

Game 2 MCC once again trailed 5 to 3 entering the 7^th Inning. This time after a double by Kiarra Brannon and Shalei Morn reaching on an error. Morgan Williams came to the plate. Morgan would connect on the first pitch hitting a Walk-off 3 Run Homer to left to give MCC a 6-5 Win.

Next up for MCC they finish the regular season today with a double header at North Central Missouri. Tigers also qualified for the Region 11 D1 Tournament. The top 4 teams qualified. MCC will play at #24 Iowa Western for a 3 Game series starting Wednesday with a double header then a game on Thursday if necessary.

Northeast 4 MCC 2, MCC 18 Northeast 17- Tigers finish the year at 13-41.

Iowa Central 17 Ellsworth 6.

Next for Ellsworth they will play in the Region 11 D2 Tournament at Merchants Park in Carroll. 12 PM Thursday DMACC vs Northeast, 3:30 PM Ellsworth vs Iowa Central. Friday 12 PM Ellsworth or Iowa Central vs Kirkwood, 3:30 PM DMACC or Northeast vs #1 Southeastern.

Thursday Night DMACC/NE loser vs Ellsworth/IC Loser at 7 PM in an elimination game. The winner of this game would play Friday Night at 7 PM.
